A man is in police custody in the investigation into the fire of the cathedral of Nantes, indicates this Sunday morning the public prosecutor Pierre Sennès. The famous Gothic cathedral of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul, in the city center, was hit by fire on Saturday morning. The alert was given as early as 7.45 am by passers-by on the forecourt of the religious building. At around 10 am, the fire that caused damage inside the building was "circumscribed for the moment", thanks to the mobilization of a hundred firefighters.

"Three departures of fire"

As of Saturday, Pierre Sennès, indicated that the criminal hypothesis was privileged. "There are in fact three fire starts, one on the first floor at the level of the large organ and two others on the right and left of the nave," he explains. It is not a coincidence ”.

Right in the city center, the famous Gothic cathedral of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul was once again hit by a fire. At around 10 am, the fire that caused damage inside the building was "circumscribed for the moment", thanks to the mobilization of a hundred firefighters.
