China New Network Urumqi, July 18th (Wang Anni) At 18:00 on July 18th, with the completion of the last phase conductor of the construction section I of the Altay-Zunbei 750 kV transmission line project in Xinjiang, it marked the whole line of the project It is expected to be completed and put into operation at the end of September. By then, Xinjiang will achieve full coverage of the 750 kV power grid, and reliable power supply and large-scale energy allocation capabilities will be significantly improved.

According to reports, the Altay-Zunbei 750 kV transmission line project, with a total length of 174 kilometers, is divided into three sections. Most of the roads are desert. From Wuerhe to Burqin County, the hills are low and the ravines are vertical and horizontal.

It is understood that the Xinjiang Power Grid has formed a transmission and distribution network with Urumqi as the core, Hami in the east, Bozhou and Yili in the west, Altay in the north, Kashi and Hotan in the south. It stretches about 2,200 kilometers from east to west, more than 3,300 kilometers from north to south, and covers an area of more than 1.3 million square kilometers. It is the 220-kV regional power grid with the widest coverage in the world.

The Altay region is rich in wind energy resources. The western wind region of the Irtysh Valley, one of the nine major wind regions in Xinjiang, is located in Burqin County and Habahe County in the Altay Region. Not only is the wind resource rich, the Altay region is in the sub-abundant zone of solar energy resources in Xinjiang, with an average annual solar radiation of 5543.75 MJ/m2, which is equivalent to 132.6 kcal/cm2. It is also rich in solar energy resources and has good prospects for the utilization of solar energy resources. However, due to the limited level of development and ability to deliver, local natural resources cannot be converted into "real money".

According to data from State Grid Altay Power Supply Company, during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, Altay area added 867,000 kilowatts of new power generation capacity. As of July 18, Altay Power Grid installed 3.15 million kilowatts of power, with a surplus of 2.5 million kilowatts of electricity, and it is eligible for large-scale delivery.

In September 2018, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. invested 1.67 billion yuan to start the construction of the Altay-Zunbei 750 kV power transmission and transformation project to enhance the power transmission capacity of Altay region. After the project is completed, it will effectively improve the transmission capacity of the power grid, comprehensively solve the problem of blocked transmission of new energy in the Altay region, meet the regional affluent power transmission, improve the ability to deliver clean energy in the Altay region, and provide conditions for the access of regional wind power collection stations and hydropower stations. Promote the large-scale development of clean energy and better serve the clean and green development of the autonomous region. (Finish)
