Just before 2 pm on Saturday, an alarm came that a woman in her 80s had been injured at Smedjeholmen in Falkenberg. The police write on their website that the woman was stabbed "with some sharp object by an unknown man on a bicycle".
- We know that she was outdoors, and walking on foot when this happened, says Hans Lippens, the police's press spokesperson, to SVT Nyheter Halland.
The woman was talkable in connection with her being taken to hospital, but the injury situation is currently unclear according to the police.
An operation is currently underway in the area, and the police are looking for a suspected perpetrator. No further information about any witnesses to the incident is currently available.
