Chelsea, Leicester and Manchester United, three candidates for two coveted places: as the 37th day of the Premier League approaches, the fight is intense for 3rd place in the classification, but also to avoid the 5th, not qualifying for the Ligue des champions.

Two days from the end, it is Chelsea who holds the rope with 63 points, but the Blues have a perilous trip Wednesday (19:15 GMT) at the champion, Liverpool.

Especially since the Reds, bitten alive by their defeats at Manchester City (4-0) and Arsenal (2-1) in recent weeks, will do well for their last big match of the season, at the end of which they will receive the trophy during a closed-door ceremony.

Chelsea may no longer be third at the start of this match, as its two pursuers will play before.

Leicester (4th, 62 pts), first, will play a difficult match at Tottenham (7th, 55 pts) Sunday (15:00 GMT). The Spurs remain on two victories, against Arsenal and Newcastle, while Leicester alternates the good and the less good since the resumption of the championship in mid-June.

On Wednesday (5:00 p.m. GMT), Manchester United (5th, 62 pts) will have a much more affordable match with the reception of West Ham, 16th. The Red Devils, unstoppable since their defeat against Burnley on January 22 (14 wins and 5 draws since), can dream of a podium from which they were at the time behind them by 14 points.

Another stake of this end of the season: 6th place, qualifier for the preliminary rounds of the Europa League. Owned by Wolverhampton (56 pts), it is coveted by Tottenham, Sheffield United (8th, 54 pts) and Arsenal (9th, 53 pts).

Apart from Tottenham, the wrestling clubs will face teams from the second half of the table: Sheffield United will receive Everton, 12th, Monday (5:00 p.m. GMT), a few hours before Crystal Palace's reception (14th) by Wolverhampton (7:15 p.m. GMT) , then Arsenal will go to Aston Villa (19th) on Tuesday (19:15 GMT). Again, nothing is played near the end of the season.
