Egypt announced its rejection of Turkish political and military interference in the Arab affairs, which lacks any legal basis and even violates Security Council resolutions, whether it is in Iraq, in Syria, or in Libya.
Yesterday, a spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez, expressed his surprise at the statements of some Turkish officials about the legitimacy of calling for elected and societal Libyan entities to support Egypt in the face of terrorism and extremism brought to Libya from Syria, after it was published in Syria Across the Turkish-Syrian border, and in various parts of the Arab region.
The Spokesman surprised the Turkish administration’s adventure with the capabilities of the Turkish people through intervention and involvement in the crises of the Arab countries to deepen and complicate them and to conquer certain currents, not because of their popularity, but simply because of their ideological dependency on those who seek to promote them in a way that wastes the resources of the Turkish people.

Last Thursday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with the sheikhs and notables of the Libyan tribes representing the spectrums of the Libyan people throughout the country. Al-Sisi stressed during the meeting that the primary goal of Egyptian efforts at all levels towards Libya is to activate the free will of the Libyan people for a better future for his country and for future generations of His sons, he explained that «the red lines that he announced before in Sidi Barani are primarily a call for peace and an end to the conflict in Libya».
Al-Sisi pointed out that Egypt will not stand idle in the face of any moves that constitute a strong direct threat to national security, not only Egyptian and Libyan but also Arab, regional and international, while a statement by the Egyptian presidency issued after the meeting made clear that the sheikhs and notables of the Libyan tribes expressed their full mandate to President Sisi and the armed forces Egyptian to intervene to protect Libyan sovereignty and take all measures to secure the interests of the national security of Libya and Egypt, and to face common challenges, in order to cement the Libyan parliament’s call for Egypt to intervene to protect the Libyan people and preserve the unity and territorial integrity of his country.
