“The Russian Ministry of Education and Science is working on various options for increasing scholarships for students, including in relation to state academic scholarships for students up to the minimum wage,” TASS quoted the press service of the ministry.

The Ministry of Education and Science noted that an increase in the standard for providing state academic scholarships to students up to the minimum wage will require a significant increase in the volume of budget allocations of the federal budget.

The minimum wage for 2020 in Russia is set at 12,130 rubles.

Earlier, the Ministry of Education and Science talked about the right of universities to postpone the start of the school year.
