According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties also discussed the global security situation and integration processes on the Eurasian continent.

“The ministers expressed their mutual commitment to continue close cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, including within the framework of the World Health Organization and in other multilateral formats,” they added.

Earlier it was reported that Chinese leader Xi Jinping, in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that close strategic cooperation between Russia and China was urgently needed.
