The Department of Municipalities and Transport announced the reopening of more parks and beaches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to the public as a second stage, with a commitment to take preventive measures and all precautions to ensure the health and safety of community members.
Public parks that will be reopened in Abu Dhabi during the current phase include (Dalma, Rabdan, Sharia, Al Wathba, Al Shahama 1, and Al Khatam) gardens, in Al Ain Mubazzrah Al Khadra, and in the Al Dhafra region, Zayed Al Khair Park in Ghayathi, and Al Mirfa Park.
As for the beaches, Abu Dhabi City Municipality will reopen Al Bateen Beach.
The reopening of these facilities comes as part of a campaign under the slogan "Start Yourself" launched by the department with the aim of providing a healthy and safe environment according to criteria that are in line with best practices that contribute to curbing the spread of the new Corona virus (COFED 19), according to which all general rules were established in areas visible to the public And, including entrances and other public places, where the Mother of the Emirates Park, Khalifa Park in Abu Dhabi City, Al Salimi Park in Al Ain, Madinat Zayed Public Park in Al Dhafra Region, Corniche Beach, Al Hudayriat Beach and Public Port Beach were previously reopened.
Those wishing to visit these gardens and beaches must adhere to wearing masks all the time, maintain social distance (two meters), and commit to not exceeding one group of four people.
The department determined the capacity of parks and beaches 40% of its capacity, reduced the capacity of parking lots to 50% of their capacity, and installed thermal cameras to check the temperature of beaches and public parks users.
All employees are obligated to adhere to a heat check, wear masks and gloves, and adhere to social spacing, and the department and its affiliated bodies will conduct cleaning and sterilization operations for all public areas periodically and regularly before and during working hours, and sterilizers will be provided in separate places in them, and will work to sterilize and disinfect all rental equipment after All use, all seats in the park.
