This was during a briefing said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. The report itself is published on the agency’s website.

“A systemic violation of fundamental human rights and freedoms is recorded,” Zakharova said.

According to her, on an ongoing basis, the Ukrainian authorities are adopting laws that are contrary to the norms of national legislation, international obligations in the field of human rights.

“Under the artificially created pretext of the need to combat a certain Russian threat and separatism in Ukraine, the authorities are persecuting political opponents, independent journalists, media companies, as well as members of public organizations that are objectionable to the authorities,” Zakharova said.

She also added that the Ukrainian authorities are carrying out a deliberate policy of acquitting and heroizing Nazi criminals, while right-wing radicals openly promote racial hatred.

In January, the Russian Foreign Ministry called support for neo-Nazism at the state level in Ukraine a serious threat to the world community.
