Bulgaria's former striker Dimitar Berbatov believes that Gareth Bale's term with Real Madrid has ended after his disrespectful behavior during his side's 2-0 victory over Alaves in the Primera Liga on Sunday.

The Welsh winger angered Real Madrid fans as he pretended to sleep by putting a muzzle on his face while watching the match in the stands.

"Gareth Bale makes headlines again by pretending to sleep in the stands when he finds himself outside the starting lineup or the bench," Berbatov said in press statements.

"When I saw that, I couldn't believe it. I saw him putting a muzzle on his eyes and pretending to sleep. I cannot support this behavior. This is a lack of professionalism and disrespect for Real Madrid ... the team needs to find a solution to the Bell crisis. This is not good for the player or the team."

Former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur striker Berbatov believes that Bell, who joined Real from Tottenham in 2013, should leave.

"The only solution for Bale is his departure from Real Madrid. If you are a fan of Real Madrid and you see a player who does not respect the team in this way, it will be a difficult situation to tolerate."

He concluded, "Bill must find a solution to his problem even if he had to transfer to any team on loan. What he did was like a show of strength. It was like he was saying: put me in the starting lineup or I will do whatever I like."
