A 17-year-old minor was arrested and then indicted on June 5 in Calvados. He is suspected of having sexually assaulted three women between April and June, reports France 3 Normandie on Wednesday, which relays a press release from the public prosecutor of Caen.

On April 18 in Ouistreham, the teenager first assaulted a jogger. It was a gendarme who caught the aggressor committing sexual touching on the victim. Despite the military's intervention, the suspect had managed to flee.

Summoned to Children's Court

On June 2, a woman who was riding a bicycle suffered a similar assault in Blainville-sur-Orne before the suspect fled once again when a cyclist arrived. On the same day, he attempted to pursue another woman who was returning home by bicycle.

Investigations by gendarmes from Ouistreham ultimately identified the alleged perpetrator. Pending his summons to the children's court, the minor was placed under judicial supervision.
