The incident occurred just five days after the bombing on Ådalagatan - something that made the police take the incident very seriously and a large area on the Garrison was cordoned off until the national bomb squad arrived at the scene. The roadblocks led to major consequences for several socially important functions.

Raised after seven hours

The roadblocks could be lifted after seven hours, after the bomb shelter shot down the object that turned out to be a bomb trap. Corren now reports that two 16-year-old boys are suspected of having placed the bomb trap.

- I can confirm that the preliminary investigation regarding the incident in Linköping on 12 June 2019 has been completed and reported to me. I will make a decision on the prosecution issue within a few weeks, says Ola Björstrand, deputy chief prosecutor to the newspaper.

According to Corren, the chief prosecutor does not want to comment on possible motives and the two boys are suspected of sabotage - a crime that can result in imprisonment for up to four years for an adult.
