The CSA received 12 candidacies for the presidency of France Televisions and retained eight postulants, whose current patron Delphine Ernotte and ex-boss of RTL Christopher Baldelli who will be auditioned Monday and Tuesday, he announced Wednesday in a statement.

Delphine Ernotte and Christopher Baldelli will defend their projects alongside journalists Serge Cimino and Michel Goldstein, the digital advisor of La République en Marche au Assemblée (LREM) Pierre-Etienne Pommier, Jean-Paul Philippot (RTBF), Serge Schick ( ex-Radio France) and Sandrine Roustan (who works for a Chinese media group, Shanghai Media).

The CSA will give the name of the successful candidate by Friday 24th at the latest.

The hearings will be held before the members of the CSA with the exception of Hervé Godechot who, as a former member of France Télévisions, cannot legally participate in the nomination process.

A first part of the hearing, lasting a maximum of one hour, will be public, then a second part (also of an hour maximum) will take place behind closed doors.

The candidates' strategic projects will be published by the CSA this Wednesday.
