In the hope of curbing the epidemic caused by the coronavirus, the Indian authorities have decided to use the containment weapon again. Over 23,000 deaths reported

In northern India, the large poor region of Bihar also announced in the afternoon the reconfiguration of its some 125 million inhabitants from Thursday for two weeks, becoming the first Indian state to impose a reconfinement continuous throughout its territory. The same measure is also in place in the city of Pune (west), which has about six million inhabitants.
Despite the virulence of the epidemic, the human toll remains contained in this country with a young population. India has so far recorded only 17.2 deaths from the Covid-19 per million inhabitants, far from 409.7 in the United States or 342.6 in Brazil, the two countries most bereaved by the pandemic.
