The Twitter accounts of celebrities, including former US President Barack Obama, former Vice President of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, have been hacked.

Damage accounts also included US automaker Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, and billionaire rapper Katya West.

It is unlikely that the Twitter accounts of celebrities around the world have been hacked at the same time, and that the wave will not be overwhelming.

AFP News reported on the 15th (local time) that their posting on the official account ``If you send 1,000 dollars (about 1.2 million won) in 30 minutes to Bitcoin, you will double your money'' has been posted and deleted.

In addition to the celebrity accounts, a similar post has been posted on Uber and Apple's official Twitter requesting Bitcoin transfers.

"It seems to be a clear hacking behavior of bitcoin scammers," said the Associated Press.

Twitter appears to be an obvious hack and said it is working on a problem, saying it will issue a statement soon.

"This is a scam. Don't send money," warned Cameron Winkleboss, co-founder of the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange.

According to Bloomberg, more than 11 Bitcoins have been transferred to Bitcoin addresses posted by hackers worth more than $100,000.

In particular, Bazos, Gates and Musk are among the top 10 in the world, and it is predicted that the number of Twitter followers will reach tens of millions, which could further damage them.

The hacked Twitter share fell 2.3% in over-the-counter trading.

The hacked account used two-factor authentication and a strong password, but Bloomberg analyzed that hackers appear to have posted fraudulent posts using Twitter's web app feature.
