15 July 2020Family cluster of Covid-19 located in Pisa. It is a 79-year-old Albanian man and his family (4 other people), all tested positive for coronavirus. The man, residing in Florence, had arrived in Pisa by flight from Tirana on 30 June and had stopped, together with his wife, at the home of his daughter who lives in Pisa to do the quarantine (so he has not met other people) .

The 79-year-old entered the emergency room in Pisa on 13 July for mild symptoms and is currently hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Pisan hospital-university.

The four cohabiting contacts, all familiar, were also subjected to a buffer and tested positive for Covid: they are in home isolation and in good health.

The hygiene and public health of the North West Tuscany Local Health Authority therefore completed the epidemiological investigation of close contacts and put in place all the necessary actions to counter the spread of the infection.
