As of July 23, Agnes Fröberg is homeless, something that the newspaper Hem och hyra was the first to report on. According to the landlord, she neglected the apartment and did not keep it sufficiently tidy, which led to vermin looking in.

The landlord turned to the rent tribunal, which followed the landlord's line. Agnes Fröberg appealed the decision with the help of the tenants' association to the Court of Appeal, but received the same message there.

- I feel unfairly treated, says Agnes Fröberg. So much has happened during these years of my life and I have done what I could.

Want a postponement

She says that she has not neglected the apartment and says that she paid for three renovations of it herself, and that the apartment was not in good condition when she took it over in 1992.

- They say that I neglected the apartment, but it is just the opposite, says Agnes Fröberg. They have not cared about that.

Amnesty International has previously criticized Sweden for not stopping evictions from people's homes during the corona pandemic, despite UN recommendations. For Agnes, an eviction will mean homelessness, as she is considered too alert for the nursing home, which will in all probability lead to her being placed in one of the municipality's temporary nursing homes.

Now that you only have one week left to live here, where are you going?

- Do not know, says Agnes. It is clear that I have friends and acquaintances who can help me, but it is not so easy in corona times, now that I belong to a risk group that is almost not going to show up anywhere. I do not get a place in a nursing home, they say I am too healthy.

Hope for the Enforcement Officer

Since the Enforcement Officer is carrying out the eviction, Agnes now hopes that a new decision on the time of the eviction will be made in the light of the corona.

- We have submitted an inhibition, a request for postponement of decisions, to the district court for speedy handling, says Bengt Dahlöf, a close friend of Agnes. Then we hope to gain some time for Agnes for the move, even though we now do not know where it will go, but then it will hopefully be when the corona and the holiday season are over.

When SVT Nyheter Väst contacts a representative within the company that owns the apartment, they do not want to comment on Agnes' situation, but still say that they are leaning towards the Court of Appeal's ruling and will not give a postponement.
