Arsenal kept their hopes of kidnapping one of the European League champions next season, after their 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Wednesday, in the 36th round of the English Premier League.

The balance of Arsenal - who regained the tone of the victories that were absent in the past two rounds, by drawing with Leicester and losing to Tottenham Hotspur - to 53 points in the ninth place in the competition standings, a difference of 3 points behind Wolverhampton, who is currently in sixth place, which climbs its owner to the role Qualification for the group stage of the European Championship, two stages before the end of the local competition.

On the other hand, the balance of Liverpool - which was officially crowned last July - was frozen at 93 points in the lead of the competition, a difference of 18 points in front of its nearest stalkers Manchester City.

Liverpool took the lead by Senegalese star Sadio Mane in the 20th minute, but French Alexander Lacazette scored the equalizer for Arsenal in the 32nd minute, then Reis Nelson added the second goal to the London team in the 44th minute, to give the title team the artillery team their first victory over Liverpool in the League Championship 4 April 2015, after failing to win any of the last ten teams' clashes in various tournaments.
