His relatives gave the alert at the end of the day and reported his disappearance. On Tuesday, a 25-year-old man died drowned in the waters of Lake Miribel-Jonage, near Lyon, reports Le Progrès.

A team of divers was mobilized to probe the lake off La Baraka beach around 7:30 p.m., but the intervention was canceled, the man having already been brought out of the water by park employees.

Despite the resuscitation attempts by the emergency services, the man died at the bathing place. It is the first drowning observed at Miribel-Jonage since the launch of the season last June. Last year, four people lost their lives in the waters of the lake, recalls the regional daily.
