When trying to land in a field, it struck a high-voltage line. A spectacular hot air balloon accident occurred Tuesday morning around 9 a.m. in Aiguillon-sur-Vie (Vendée), reports the newspaper Ouest-France . According to the first elements, the canvas caught fire and its two passengers, regulars of this kind of flight, fell by several meters. The accident also caused a power outage.
A 50-year-old woman, helicoptered to the La Roche-sur-Yon hospital center, was seriously injured. "She is said to be suffering from multiple fractures but her days are not in danger," the newspaper said. Also present in the basket, a 55-year-old man survived with lighter injuries.
