The Mossos d'Esquadra detained a minor on Wednesday for the death of a newborn who was found on the street in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. According to Efe sources close to the case, the minor, who will be at the disposal of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, was arrested this afternoon in Barcelona.
The Mossos d'Esquadra are waiting to confirm, as everything indicates, that it is the mother of the newborn. And they also await the result of the autopsy to determine the causes of the baby's death. One of the main hypotheses of the research is that it was abandoned after delivery.
The boy's body was found this morning in a container in the Trinitat Nova neighborhood of Barcelona, in the Nou Barris district. As reported by local television Betevé, it was in a garbage bag. The regional police have focused their efforts on locating her parents .
