At 3 p.m. this Wednesday, Prime Minister Jean Castex will outline "the new path" of the quinquennium promised by the Élysée Palace. A speech at the National Assembly before the deputies followed by a debate and a vote: a veritable baptism of fire for the new tenant of Matignon who has been in office for less than two weeks.

After the word of the President, that of the Prime Minister. During 1 hour 20 minutes Tuesday against Léa Salamé and Gilles Bouleau, Emmanuel Macron set the tone for the rest of the five-year period with multiple announcements on the coronavirus, ecology, economy and even the recovery. But it is indeed Prime Minister Jean Castex who will kick off this new chapter, this Wednesday at 3 p.m., in front of the deputies, before a debate and a vote. A true baptism of fire for the new tenant of Matignon in place since July 3.

An address marked with the Castex "leg"

With his speech which should last an hour, the Prime Minister intends to "gather" if one believes his relatives. It should also give some objectives, such as recovery, job creation, preservation of our social model or the environment. An address stamped Jean Castex, since he "clearly puts his paw there, his DNA", abound these same relatives. In fact, there is no question of suggesting that this speech was written at the Élysée. Matignon also promises that this speech will mark a change in method.

"Listening is not an empty word for Jean Castex, it is what it is" says his cabinet. A notion which should therefore pave "the new path" that the Élysée promises. A new course that the Prime Minister will also have to set out again on Thursday, this time before the senators.
