by Fabrizio Patti 14 July 2020Today a day of waiting for the company which owns 88% of Autostrade per l'Italia. The stock yesterday fell by 15%, today there is a small rebound, in the middle of the session +2.42 percent. The stock has lost 43% since the beginning of the year.

The council of ministers who will deal with the Autostrade dossier has been postponed to 10 pm. In the last hours the hypothesis of a commissioner of the company has taken hold. This in a day characterized by the minus sign for all European price lists, as well as in Asia at night.

-1% for the Ftse Mib in Milan. Frankfurt (-1.5%) and Paris (-1.7%) are worse, London (-0.3) is better. The increase in Covid cases in various countries, the new lockdown decided in California and the new tensions between the United States and China regarding the claims on the South China Sea are weighing heavily.

Today also the public exchange offer of Intesa Sanpaolo for Ubi is highlighted. Last night Cattolica Assicurazioni, which owns 1% of Ubi and is part of the reference shareholder committee, decided to join the Intesa offer.

On the government securities front, the BTP auction is doing well: securities worth 10 billion euros placed. Declining yield for 3 (-16 basis points), 7 (-15 bps) and 20 years (-59 bps) stocks.
