Several thousand people demonstrated Tuesday in Paris at the call of several trade unions, including the CGT and Solidaires as well as the Inter-Hospital Collective to demand more resources for the hospital, AFP noted.

"The Covid has shown that we need beds, we don't have them", explains in the procession Guillaume Rosey, neurology nurse in Maubeuge, disappointed by the agreements signed Monday by certain union organizations within the framework of Ségur de la santé .

"We expected a lot from Ségur," added the nurse in the midst of the slogans calling for "money, money for the public hospital". "We had to create jobs. We don't have them. There are a lot of things that have not been discussed and we cannot be satisfied. We asked for 300 euros to have an average salary at the level of that in France. 'OECD ".

"They did not meet expectations," says Paule Bensaid, nurse in an EPSM (establishment for disabled adults) in Lille. "We demanded a minimum of 300 euros for all the agents. Where I work, we did not have a mask before April 30. So the parade of caregivers on the fields (Elysées, on the occasion of July 14) I think that it's pipeau ".

For Ali Yassine, student nurse and former caregiver, it is about providing patients with better care. "We just want to report a malfunction and fix it," he told AFP. "Mr. Everyone who's going to get sick, I want him to have more than a nurse can offer him now. That's not how I plan to treat people."

The procession, which left around 2 p.m. from Place de la République, arrived near Place de la Bastille shortly after 3 p.m.

Among the demonstrators, some came from a rally organized by "yellow vests" in front of the General Police Inspectorate (IGPN) to denounce police violence, in the presence of certain figures of the movements injured during demonstrations. Also present were the general secretary of the CGT, Philippe Martinez, the singer Francis Lalanne and the deputy (LFI) Eric Coquerel.

In addition, two people were briefly arrested by the police for "flying over a prohibited area" after dropping in the air balloons on which hung an anti-macron banner during the parade of July 14 place of Concorde.
