“59 people, including 36 US Navy sailors and 23 civilians, received medical attention for minor injuries, including heat stroke and smoke poisoning,” a comment on Twitter said.
Hospitalization of the victims was not required.
Fire crews continue to work on the spot.
The fire on a universal landing ship in San Diego occurred on Sunday, July 12.
The fire department believes that the fire can last several days until the ship burns out from the inside to the waterline.
