In 2020, five colleges, including the Naval University of Engineering, Dalian Naval Academy, Naval Submarine Academy, Naval Aeronautical University, and Naval Military Medical University, plan to recruit 1,812 growth officers to 28 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government).
