“On July 14, 2020, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Bakhyt Zhanuzakovich Kurmanbaev, died,” the report said.
As specified by RIA Novosti in the ministry, the cause of death was the coronavirus.
Earlier, Kazakhstan decided to extend the quarantine measures introduced due to COVID-19 until August 2.
