“The CSTO secretariat expresses serious concern over the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border that arose on July 12 this year after an armed clash between the units of the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan, including the use of heavy weapons, resulting in killed and wounded,” - RIA Novosti quotes the CSTO secretariat.
It is noted that "the situation does not contribute to the normalization of the situation on the border of two neighboring states."
Earlier, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to take measures to de-escalate the situation on the border.
