It was at 23.45 that a major flood in Nyköping was alerted. The leak caused a flood in a subway tunnel and the rescue service had to pull out to help.
According to the municipality, the water leak should affect large parts of Nyköping. An hour after the discovery, the leak was located and the large outflow of water could be stopped.
Just before 01, the night before Monday, the municipality wrote on its website that there is bad pressure on the water and that there is a great risk that households may experience limited access and get discolored water from the tap.
