The Directorate General of Health communicated Monday evening a new assessment of the coronavirus epidemic in France, with 30,029 dead since the start of the crisis, or 25 additional deaths since Friday. The number of people in intensive care is slightly down, with 492 patients concerned. 

France has 30,029 deaths linked to Covid-19 recorded since the start of the epidemic on Monday evening, 25 more than on Friday's last assessment, the Directorate General of Health (DGS) announced. The number of patients with Covid-19 in intensive care continues to drop slightly with 492 patients concerned, four fewer than on Friday. Among these deaths, 19,553 people took place in hospitals. "The figures for social and medico-social establishments will be updated on Wednesday" next, warns the DGS.

Hospitalizations down since Friday

Regarding hospitalizations, 6,983 people are hospitalized for a Covid-19 infection against 7,062 on Friday and 68 new admissions were recorded in 24 hours.

In intensive care, four regions (Île-de-France, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) account for 72% of hospitalized patients.
