The fire rescue department in San Diego, California, said, on Sunday night, that firefighters are trying to put out a fire on the ship "Bonhomme Richard" after an explosion.
The fire rescue department added that the explosion wounded at least one person.
Illustrated scenes, posted by the administration in its accounts on social media, from the scene of the fire showed many firefighters storming thick smoke from the amphibious vessel anchored at the San Diego Naval Base.
"The explosion led to at least one injury in Bonhomme Richard," the fire department said on Twitter.
She confirmed that she is cooperating with the Federal Fire Department to find out the fate of all sailors and clear the area.
