On July 1, the Act on Temporary Infection Protection Measures at Serving Places began to apply. This law means that the municipalities are responsible for the supervision of restaurants, bars and cafes. It also means that the municipalities have the power to notify injunctions and to temporarily close a restaurant.

The servings follow the recommendations and guidelines that exist, but there is some congestion in connection with their activities.

- We see that the general public is generally bad at taking this with the pandemic seriously, says Håkan Strid, head of environmental and health protection, and continues:

- Inside restaurants, bars and cafes, it is well arranged for visitors to keep their distance. On the other hand, congestion in the outdoor environment occurs on sidewalks and places around restaurants, bars and cafes.

He says that neither the restaurants nor the municipality have any opportunity to dissolve crowds. In the clip you hear more about how the situation is with the congestion during the current pandemic.
