11 July 2020Risk of skipping the second half of the championship in Switzerland. Zurich has announced it has multiple coronavirus cases among its players and staff, all of whom are now under home quarantine.

Zurich did not specify how many new cases were reported after the announcement of the positive test for defender Mirlind Kryeziu. The matches of the Swiss Super League scheduled for Saturday against Sion and that of Tuesday in Basel have been postponed for at least 10 days.

Zurich have yet to play seven league games and it is unclear how this schedule can be met before UEFA's deadline of August 2 to complete the national seasons. The Swiss league has said it is talking to clubs about the next steps.
