For some time now, the front door has been closed on the buses that run for KLT. Travelers must board the center of the bus and make sure they have a valid ticket before boarding.

But with the new app, travelers can hop on a bus and pay for their trip only when they have gotten off.

- When you get on the bus, you click on the start of the journey and when you get off and press the end of the trip, says Christer Holmgren, traffic director at KLT.

Reminders with pushnotis

The app calculates how much the trip costs and can be paid in different ways.

But what happens if you forget to stop traveling n?

- Then you get a push note that wonders if you haven't finished your trip. Since you have not traveled further, you do not have to pay extra if you forget.

How can you be sure all travelers pay for their trip?

- There is a push note about that too.

Wi-fi detects mobile connections

In the app you can also see how high the occupancy is on the bus before the passenger gets on board. It counts how many people are connected to the bus's wifi network.

- But it is not possible to measure exactly how many people are on board the bus. People without a telephone are not registered, says

KLT is in the process of phasing out the system of travel funds, a preparation for the fall. Then KLT will introduce a new ticket system together with Länstrafiken Kronoberg, Jönköping County and Hallandstrafiken.
