In the clip above, Cameron shows how to hack into an electric scooter of a similar model as companies such as Voi and Lime have placed on the streets in several cities in Sweden.

Cameron chops in an electric scooter, and locks it while on the go, by scanning the area for various Bluetooth-enabled devices and sending a lock command to the electric scooter that shuts down.

Users of Voi and Lime download an app that lets them unlock electric scooters on the town with a password. The app uses Bluetooth to communicate with the electric scooters.

- What we have succeeded in doing is that we have recreated the commands that the app sends on our computers using code. We discovered that there is no control, which means we can unlock and lock any electric scooter, even when in motion. If the electric scooter moves slowly enough, we can lock it, says Louis Cameron.
