The free practice 3 of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Styria, which was scheduled to take place between 12 noon and 1 p.m., was canceled on Saturday because of the rain that fell on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
The session was initially postponed until further notice at 11.48 a.m., before being canceled at 12.40 p.m.
Previously, the opening Formula 3 race had ended prematurely for the same reasons.
The rain started to fall around 10:00 am and gradually intensified after the start given at 10:25 am. It was finally decided to stop the race at 10.51 am and then stop it definitively at 11.05 am
The qualifications are scheduled at 3:00 p.m. but the weather forecast does not improve before the end of the day.
