Next week, Västerbottnings can test themselves for covid-19

As of Monday, Västerbottnings can collect a sampling kit from the hospitals in the county's three cities and at a number of health centers around the county. It is an advantage if a symptom-free person fetches the kit and submits the test.

In order for the result to be as good as possible, you must have had symptoms for at least a day before testing. For example, you should have sniff, nasal congestion, cough, sore throat, decreased sense of smell or taste, nausea or pain in muscles and joints, writes the region.

You register your own test, identify yourself with BankID and take a test of yourself. While waiting for a test response, one should stay at home to avoid the spread of infection. The test answer comes via a sms with instructions to log in and see their answer.

- This is a complement to the tests taken at health centers around the county. If you do not want to do a self-test, or do not have your own BankID, then there is the possibility of covid-19 symptoms at the health center, says Therese Thunberg, and makes it clear that it is not possible to test, for example, children without electronic BankID, but then the sampling at a health center applies.

If, on the other hand, you have severe symptoms, you should seek medical attention. The test can only see if you have an ongoing infection, not if you have antibodies.
