A 37-year-old man was given a suspended suspended prison sentence of eight months on Thursday for hitting a man and a dog with his daughter's scooter in Morbihan in February 2018, reports Ouest-France . Already convicted 22 times, the defendant is a regular in the prison environment.

That February day in Hennebont, he had met an old acquaintance he met in prison, accompanied by his wife and daughter. The discussion had degenerated and the accused had removed the handlebars from his daughter's scooter before hitting the victim with it, before attacking the dog. At the helm, the 37-year-old man expressed remorse for hitting the animal, but that was it.

The Lorient Criminal Court sentenced him to an eight-month suspended prison sentence. A duty of care has also been imposed.
