- Now the admission message is ahead of the autumn term and many students are looking for accommodation. Rising housing prices and tough borrowing conditions, however, have increased demand for small apartments in recent years, says Marcus Svanberg, CEO of Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling.

Third largest upturn

During the past year, the price of one in Växjö has risen by 11 percent, which is the third largest increase among student cities in the country. A higher upturn is only found in Karlstad and Lund according to the compilation.

The average price for one in Sweden is SEK 1.7 million or SEK 49,700 per square meter.
