According to TASS, Baumschlager indicated that the murder could have been ordered or the result of a quarrel.

“We cannot rule out that, on the one hand, we are talking about contract killings, on the other hand, a quarrel could occur,” he said.

According to him, the police still have not figured out the motive for the murder, as "the 47-year-old suspect in the commission of the crime is silent."

Earlier, the Austrian media, citing the police, reported that an asylum seeker from Russia was found shot dead in the Austrian city of Gerasdorf. Police later said that Martin Beck, a native of Chechnya, was killed.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the murder of a Russian in Austria.
