- It is a natural alternative to choose to study when, for one reason or another, you cannot find the job you want or any job at all, says Peter Citron, admissions manager at Linnaeus University.

More than 40,000 students have been admitted to the fall courses at Linnaeus University - about 2,000 more than last year. 38,000 students have ended up in reserve places for the programs. This is about 15,000 more than last year.

- The number of reserve placements increased sharply, which is a clear sign that competition is fiercer, says Peter Citron.

Must adapt the training

Among the most sought-after programs this fall can be found the psychology program, the social studies program and the business economics program according to Peter Citron.

- The most sought-after programs are those with a clear professional profile, he says.

In mid-March, the government announced that all universities and colleges should conduct their education remotely. About two months later, the government announced that universities and colleges could return to more traditional teaching this fall.

Which means that most of the students at Linnaeus University will receive the traditional tuition for the autumn term, unless the government comes up with new directives.
