Fifty people will be admitted and the management of the festival has decided to donate the tickets to the care and care staff in the municipality.

Tobias Petersson is a nurse at the corona department in Västervik and one of those who got a free pass. He thinks it will be great with some music entertainment after a tough spring.

- I think it's great that you think about us. It has been an incredibly tough period. Actually, I've never been to the festival so it will be extra fun, he says.

"Important to get rid of"

The festival will be held thanks to a number of sponsors. But it will also be streamed online.

- It is important that it gets rid of the whole of Västervik, says Magnus Johnson site manager for the Visfestivalen.

But is it not risky to place fifty people with socially important positions from health care in the same place?

- This area is not huge, but in normal cases we take 700 sitting in the pot itself. So it is not going to be a problem and it is also outdoors, says Magnus Johnson.

The festival means a lot to Västervik as the whole city lives on for three days. For many, it is also the highlight of the summer in Västervik. This year's artists include Jill Johnsson, Jack Vreeswijk and Toni Holgersson.
