  On the same day, 42 new cases were discharged and 706 close contacts were released from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1 compared with the previous day.

  There are 74 confirmed cases (no serious cases) imported from abroad, and 2 suspected cases. A total of 1958 cases were diagnosed, and a total of 1884 discharged cases were cured, with no deaths.

  As of 24:00 on July 8, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 357 confirmed cases (including 5 severe cases), a total of 78590 cases of discharged cases, and a total of 4634 deaths. A total of 83,581 confirmed cases were reported, and there are 5 suspected cases. A total of 765,344 close contacts were tracked, and 3840 close contacts were still under medical observation.

  31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported the addition of 6 cases of asymptomatic infections (5 cases imported overseas); 1 case was converted to a confirmed case on the same day (1 case imported overseas); 10 cases of medical observation were released on the same day ( 4 cases were imported from abroad; 112 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation (79 cases were imported from abroad).

  A total of 1818 confirmed cases were reported from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there were 1323 cases in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (1167 cases discharged and 7 deaths), 46 cases in the Macau Special Administrative Region (45 cases discharged), and 449 cases in Taiwan (438 cases discharged and 7 cases died).
