Yesterday, the UAE sent an aid plane containing seven tons of medical supplies to Uruguay, benefiting 7,000 health workers to contain the emerging Corona virus.
The UAE’s ambassador to the Republic of Argentina, non-resident ambassador to Uruguay, Saeed Rashid Obaid Saif Al-Zaabi said: “The UAE has distinguished historical relations with Uruguay, and has been characterized by the nature of friendship and harmony in political positions and cooperation in various fields.”
He added: "The sending of aid comes to confirm the wise leadership of the UAE state, its keenness to develop and consolidate friendly relations and strengthen them at all levels between the two countries."
It is worth noting that the UAE provided more than 1046 tons of aid to more than 71 countries.
