They started in the mountains and spent two weeks on the river, paddling and carrying their kayaks around the obstacles on the road. Among other things, the 15 hydropower plants that stood in their way.

- I have counted and think we spent two days passing them, so a little over it starts to feel the power plants. But at least it will be a good memory, Herman says and smiles.

No quark this time

The original plan was to paddle over the quark once they got to the sea, but they have had to revise that plan because of coronary restrictions and weather. Instead, the ferry will be transferred to Finland.

- We have said from the beginning that we will not run out in weather that does not feel safe, nor that we should lie in wait for a weather gap, it may be another time, says Herman.

Erika continues:

- We have done this as a fun thing, it should not be an achievement that we have to manage.
