"We have a collective responsibility for what happened. Perhaps we have not been completely capable of doing our duty": the Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Terni Alberto Liguori thus opened the press conference to illustrate the investigations that led to the detained forty-one year old for the two boys found dead at home yesterday. "We have the power of attorney - underlined the magistrate - perhaps we were lucky, the carabinieri had an investigative intuition. Within a few hours they had already taken the right path".

The crime of death as a consequence of another crime was hypothesized against the arrested man. "We have worked with young people - the prosecutor underlined - who have given a great hand by directing us and restricting the field of action. They have led us to the suspect. What is serious is the phenomenon of familiarity with the world of drugs". According to Liguori "it is not correct" to define the substance taken by the boys, aged 15 and 16, as amazing, that it caused his death. "The toxicological tests will help to understand - said the prosecutor - we will rely on specialists and see what we will find".

According to the first hypotheses it could have been methadone or codeine, but also both, taken together, to have caused the death in the sleep of the two boys; a fifteen year old a sixteen year old from terni.

The arrested was known as a drug taker with no specific precedent. Investigators have acquired a "converging" set of claims against him. With "innocent and precise" statements collected in particular among the young friends of the victims. A bottle was seized in the house of the detainee, perhaps with the substance "indicted" inside. Even in this case, however, the analyzes will have to clarify what it is. The hypothesis of the investigators is that the two minors ingested something yesterday evening feeling bad.
