“Dmitry Kiselyov does not head Russia Today, has no relation to Russia Today. Dmitry Kiselev is the head of MIA Russia Today. They probably just scored “Russia Today” on Google, and Russia Today transferred them. I cannot explain this phantasmagoric stupidity to anyone else. I have been heading Russia Today for 15 years, since its inception, ”she said.

Earlier, the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission banned the broadcasting of RT channel in Lithuania. The decision was made due to sanctions against Dmitry Kiselyov.

Prior to this, the broadcasting of seven channels of the RT group was banned in Latvia due to the fact that the channels are “under control” by Dmitry Kiselev.

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) called for the reversal of this decision.

In addition, the Estonian Foreign Ministry reported that it approves the ban of Latvia. According to the agency, in Estonia they will analyze the effectiveness of such a measure as “implementing financial sanctions”.

Dmitry Kiselyov, who is under EU sanctions, does not work for RT, he is the general director of another media - MIA Russia Today. Companies are two separate legal entities.
