Naples is one of the teams that started off on the right foot after the long interruption of the championship and showed it again on Wednesday by going to win 2-1 on the lawn of Genoa on the 31st day.

A final victory in the Italian Cup and four successes in five Serie A matches: the post-confinement record of Gennaro Gattuso's men speaks for itself.

Only Atalanta Bergamo got across the road to Napoli, which still suffered on Wednesday against Genoa. The Genoese club, for its part, is sinking further and further and is now relegated (18th).

Mertens opened the scoring just before the break (45 + 1), but Goldaniga replied at the start of the second half. In the 66th minute, it was the Mexican Lozano who gave three points to Naples.

With this success, Naples takes 5th place, abandoned 24 hours at AC Milan, surprising winner of Juventus on Tuesday (4-2).

The victories of Naples and Milan put the pressure on the shoulders of AS Rome, who slipped to 7th place before the reception of Parma (9.45 pm).

The Romans, who will wear a special jersey with a portrait of Ennio Morricone on their shoulders and the inscription "Grazie Maestro", will take 5th position in the event of victory.

In the other match scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Fiorentina de Franck Ribéry and Cagliari separated on a 0-0.

At 9.45 p.m., in addition to the Roma match, we will be monitoring the result of Atalanta Bergamo (4th), which hosts the Sampdoria Genoa.
