California is one of several states in the United States where, in recent weeks, an increased number of virus cases have been noticed.
Only three other states in the United States have reported more than 10,000 infected in one day. Florida had 11,458 new cases on July 4, and Texas reported 10,028 on Tuesday.
New York registered 12,847 new cases on April 10, three weeks after the state implemented strict restrictions. The state was previously the worst hit in the United States, but in June, the increase in coronary falls found was only 6 percent in New York, which is the lowest monthly increase in the country.
Pence: 1.3 million healthy again
On Wednesday, the country's Vice President Mike Pence commented on the developments at a press conference.
In addition to reiterating the Trump administration's demands for open schools, he reaffirmed the latest corona figures in the country.
- More than three million Americans have been tested positive for corona. Currently, we have tested 39 million citizens, of which 1.3 million have recovered, Pence said.
