On Tuesday evening, four people died and three were seriously injured in a road accident on a departmental road near Senlis, in the Oise, we learned on Wednesday, from concordant sources.

The firefighters were called at 11:10 pm after a "frontal collision between two cars on the departmental D1330, which made the heavy toll of four dead and three people in absolute emergency, evacuated to Parisian hospitals" by helicopter and ambulances, explained a spokesperson for the departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) of Oise.

The circumstances of the accident are still unknown

Of the five people on board one of the vehicles, two died and three were seriously injured. The two occupants of the other car both died, said the prefecture of Oise, without further details at this stage.

"Significant resources" were used by the emergency services, including "six ambulances, two road rescue vehicles, a command post vehicle from Compiègne, three mobile hospital units from Senlis, Compiègne, and Meaux (Seine-et- Marne) a drone team and a Dragon 75 civil security helicopter, ”detailed the SDIS.

Neither the emergency services nor the gendarmerie could specify at this stage the age or the sex of the victims. The causes of the accident also remained "unknown".
